Dry risers bring a large amount of water into a building, typically larger than 18m tall and are an extremely effective method of firefighting. They are used by the fire brigade to connect there pipes to the inlet and bring water into a building where it is needed most, making them an extremely effective method of putting out fires inside a building.

Sprinkler systems consist of a series of pipework running through a building bringing large quantities of water to the areas where it is needed most. Unlike dry riser systems the pipework is kept full of water at all times with sprinkler heads fitted in the areas where it is likely to be needed.

These are an extremely cost effective method of combating a fire, they allow a fire to be controlled quickly and will usually significantly reduce the spread of fire and any damage it may cause.

Dry Riser & Sprinkler System Servicing – British standards recommend that all dry riser systems are tested every year and visually inspected every six months. We can issue you with a certificate of conformity and a detailed test report following satisfactory completion of a test using our own team of engineers and fire engine.
